1967 Ford Mustang GTA Fastback

This 1967 Ford Mustang GTA (Fastback) is a rare one-year-only special with matching numbers and a recent restoration. Under the bonnet is a naturally-aspirated 390 cubic inch (6.4-litre) V8 which sends 238kW (320hp) to the rear wheels. The transmission in this car is a three-speed automatic.

The odometer currently displays 156 miles. 1967 was the first and only year that Ford manufactured the Mustang GTA. The GTA introduced the big-block S-Code 390ci V8 with an automatic transmission. This is one of the most desirable first-generation Mustang variants today and is recognised as a real collector’s item.

Painted red (with white stripes) on the exterior and upholstered with black vinyl trim inside the cabin, this Mustang GTA presents a desirable colour combination on a rare variant. New chrome trim highlights the exterior and brushed aluminium inlays are seen inside the cabin. The car also features a GT 14-bolt cylinder head, C6 Select Shift automatic transmission, and a 9.0-inch diff. It rides on a set of 15-inch chrome wheels wrapped in BF Goodrich tyres.

This car was built new in San Jose, California on 3 January, 1967. It is accompanied by a Marti report documenting its history. This car has spared no expense in maintaining this vehicle to a high standard, exhibited through the large cache of receipts. The car also underwent a restoration four years ago, retaining matching-numbers parts for originality.
